The hyperbaric oxygen therapy process

Category: HBOT

The hyperbaric oxygen therapy process typically involves a series of sessions, with each session lasting between 60 to 120 minutes. The number of sessions required will depend on the condition being treated and the individual’s response to therapy. Before starting HBOT, a thorough evaluation will be conducted to assess your medical history, current health status, and any contraindications to treatment. This evaluation helps ensure that HBOT is safe and appropriate for you. During each HBOT session, you will be placed in a pressurized chamber, either a monoplace chamber (designed for one person) or a multiplace chamber (designed for multiple people). The chamber will be pressurized to the prescribed level, and you will be provided with a mask or hood to breathe in the pure oxygen. While inside the chamber, you can relax, read, or listen to music. The chamber may have windows or a video system to help alleviate any feelings of confinement. The medical staff will closely monitor you throughout the session to ensure your safety and comfort.
